A Passion for Personalized Physical Therapy Care

What is your favorite thing about being a PT?

My favorite thing about being a PT is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with my patients and support them on their journey toward recovery. It is incredibly rewarding to get to know each person, understand their challenges and goals, and be part of their progress every step of the way. There’s nothing better than seeing the joy on a patient’s face when they achieve a goal they have been working hard for, whether its returning to a sport, being able to pick up their child without pain, or simply moving through life more comfortably. These relationships make the work personal and fulfilling, as every success feels shared.

Knowing that I have helped someone regain their strength and confidence is what makes this progression so special to me.

Why Dr. Barrett Chose Cash-Based Physical Therapy

Why did you want to go into cash-pay?

I chose to pursue cash-based physical therapy because I am passionate about providing truly individualized care. In traditional models that rely on insurance, therapists are often forced to juggle multiple patients at once and adhere to rigid treatment plans dictated by insurance policies. This compromises the quality of care and limits the ability to fully address each patient’s unique needs. With doing cash-pay, I can focus entirely on one-on-one care, tailoring every session to the patient without external restrictions.

My goal is to empower patients through quality care that helps them heal faster, achieve sustainable results, and lead healthier lives.

How Dr. Barrett Found Concierge Orthopedics

How did you find CO?

I found CO online as I was browsing through physical therapy job openings. I honestly thought it was too good to be true at first. Being able to provide truly one-on-one physical therapy care is rare, especially in a healthcare environment where rushed sessions and multitasking with multiple patients at once has become the norm. It stood out to me because personalized care- where a therapist can give their undivided attention, fully customize treatments, and build relationships with their patients- aligns perfectly with my values as a PT.

Building Relationships Through One-on-One Care

What can you tell us about your hiring and onboarding experience?

The hiring and onboarding experience has been incredible, thanks to the support from Kelli and Shania. They have gone above and beyond to make the process smooth and stress-free, taking the time to thoroughly explain every step and ensure I feel prepared. Their patience and willingness to answer all of my questions has been invaluable.

It is clear they genuinely care about my success and want to set me up for a positive experience from the start. It is so reassuring to know I have such a supportive team behind me.

Empowering Patients for Long-Lasting Results

What are your goals for the next year of your CO practice?

Over the next year, my goals are to build strong, trusting relationships with each patient I work with, ensuring they feel supported and empowered throughout their recovery as well as develop a reputation for providing high-quality, one-on-one care leads to meaningful outcomes. I hope to grow my patient base by fostering connections within the community and through word-of-mouth referrals. I also plan to continue to explore continuing education opportunities to stay on top of new techniques and approaches, ensuring I am always offering the best care possible.
